• In June 1983, in connection with the amalgamation of three other companies
  the name of the Company was changed from GM Resources Limited to
  Campbell Resources Inc.

• In December 2000, André Fortier is named President and Chief Executive Officer
  of Campbell Resources Inc. and the Head Office of the Company moves to
  Montréal.

• In June 2001, the Company merged with MSV Resources Inc. and GéoNova
  Explorations Inc. The merger was undertaken to consolidate the operations of
  the three companies in the Chibougamau mining camp in northwestern Quebec.

• As at December 31, 2006, the main assets of the Company include the Joe Mann
  mine, the Copper Rand mine, the Corner Bay property and the Merrill Island
  property, all of which are located in the Chibougamau region.
